If you're aged 45-64 and your GP practice is part of the Keep Well programme, they will invite you to a health check.

Alternatively, if your GP practice is listed in the Where to get a health check section, you can contact them direct to make an appointment or find out if you are eligible.

At the health check appointment, they will run a few, quick checks to see whether you're at risk of unseen conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure or heart disease. You will also receive advice about how to cut the risk, and how to improve your health generally.

As part of the check, the practice staff can also put you in touch with services like healthy eating advice, physical activity classes, and even advice on money and benefits.
